Griffons de Pichon Baron, 2016
Griffons de Pichon Baron, 2016
Critic tasting note: "The nose is fine, elegant and offers a slight concentration as well as a slight charming side. It reveals notes of fresh/ripe blackberry, cassis and violet associated with a hint of redcurrant as well as a discreet hint of plum, caramelized oak and a subtle hint of sweet spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced, slightly powerful and offers a slight gourmandise, a slight fleshy, an acid frame, straightness, a slight deepness as well as an acid frame and juiciness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fresh/fleshy boysenberry, plum and slight notes of fresh raspberry associated with a hint of redcurrant, toasted oak, cacao, a subtle grilled hint as well as a hint of cardamom and Ceylan tea. Tannins are fine, racy and structuring. Good length. Good persistence on a subtle hint of caramelization/vanilla." - 93/100, VertdeVin
