Gaspard Brochet was a graphic designer before returning to his family's domaine. The family gave him a few hectares in 2017, and he started making champagne in a garage before recently moving into his own winery.
The domaine focuses on impeccable biodynamic vineyard work, picking at high ripeness, and barrel aging. The results are extraordinary and captivating.
You can expect the rosé to have surprising lightness while not lacking in punch or intrigue. There's a kaleidoscopic complexity of red fruits, blood orange, spice, and floral notes. It delivers beautiful harmony and detail.
In Écueil, on the Petite Montagne de Reims, Gaspard Brochet embodies the new wave of Champagne winemakers who combine artisanal rigor with a contemporary vision. Heir to a long line of winegrowers, he manages a small vineyard spread around Écueil, Sacy, and Villers aux Nœuds, cultivated without chemical fertilizers or herbicides, with a committed conversion to organic farming and High Environmental Value certification. In the cellar, winemaking is minimally interventionist, in oak barrels, without fining or filtration, in order to preserve the energy of the terroir and the refined texture that characterize his champagnes.
