Coste Caumartin Pommard 1er Le Clos des Boucherottes Mono 2018
With a domain that has been around since the Dukes of Burgundy (1000 to 1400), the Coste-Caumartin Winery decided to cultivate their love for wine in 1793 and their love for winemaking only grew from there.
The 13 hectares of land that Domaine Coste-Caumartin owns spread across Pommard, Beaune and Saint-Romain. The vines are tended to with love, cut, and pruned in traditional Burgundian techniques. The work on the soil of these vines is adjusted according to the type of the soil and limiting the use of artificial chemicals. In 2019, Domaine Coste-Caumartin received the HVE label ( High Environmental Value).
With a tradition that they have been following since 1793, Domaine Coste-Caumartin has also been open to embracing modern techniques. The Domaine is now under the direction of Jerome and Benoit Sordet to implementation of new innovative wine-making practices, balancing traditional Burgundian techniques with modern practices. The winery now produces 65,000 bottles in a year, 25% of which are white wines and 75% are red wines.
