From the Saint-Julien appellation, Clos Du Marquis is frequently considered to be the unofficial second-wine of Chateau Leoville Las Cases - 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc; yet is regarded by owners, Domaines Delon, as an unclassified parallel-wine. Located uphill from the famed walled-vineyard of Leoville Las Cases, the grapes ripen slightly later than the "Enclos".

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.
