Disgorged in September 2021, Lanson's 2004 Brut Blanc de Blancs Noble Cuvée Millésime is showing beautifully, offering up aromas of buttery pastry, beeswax, dried white flowers and crisp orchard fruit. Medium to full-bodied, ample and pillowy, with a vibrant and enveloping core of fruit, racy acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it's a charming wine that's evolving slowly.

This iteration of the prestige cuvée from Lanson is now well mature, but certainly not old. Even at nearly 20 years in age, it shows richness and toast while also having ripe white-fruit flavors. It is a beautifully balanced Champagne, still crisp from the dominant Chardonnay in the blend. Drink the wine now.
