Maison Nicolas Potel is a Burgundy négociant business founded in 1997. While the house owns no vineyards, Potel makes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines from some of the most highly regarded sites in the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune.

Les Beaux Monts is a premier cru vineyard of the Vosne-Romanée appellation in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or heartland. This vineyard, like most of its neighbors on this part of the Côte d'Or, is planted entirely to Pinot Noir, making a full-bodied yet elegant wine with ripe fruit characters.
