The nose is intense and savoury with autumnal leaves, tea, dried fruit, crushed rose petals and cherry wood. The taste is just as complex and rich; it is gorgeous and full with dried apricot, pear and peach. This wine is alive and full of energy; it changes constantly in the glass so allow it to breath. This is to be savoured and sipped. It works beautifully with food but also as a post-dinner sipper. – Tasting Notes by Dawn Davies MW
Outer quote mark Vouette & Sorbée’s NV Fidéle (Pinot Noir) is soft, understated and quite pretty. Slightly vegetal notes typical of the vintage lurk beneath, yet all the elements are nicely balanced. Scents of dried pear, wild flowers and mint are laced into the open-knit, mid-weight finish. All things considered 2011 is well done. (AG) Inner quote mark (8/2016) – Vinous
