From three plots, matured in 30% new wood. Mid pink-purple, with a slightly toasty nose, even a bit lactic. Pleasing brisk deep cherry fruit behind, some creamy oak, and fair length.
Garnet red robe with light purple reflections. A wine which will age wonderfully but ready to drink, full of fresh fruit and a warming finish.
Many view Volnay as being the most feminine of Burgundy wines. Usually more open and less tannic than neighboring Pommard, the Bouzereau’s village wines shows notes of cherry, vanilla, spice and an ethereal violet note.
