This Premier Cru vineyard is situated at the top of the village of Puligny, near the village of Blagny and is one of the highest of the appellation. The free run juice was fermented in barrels with only 30% new oak. The fermentations ended at the end of November. Elevage continued for a further 8 months with some batonnage. Lemon oil, grapefruit and creamy stone fruits on the nose here. The palate has good tension from the acidity but a textural richness from the batonnage that adds both weight and a savoury edge. Savoury spices pair with notes of pear and white peach that linger on a long finish. -Farr Vintners, July 2019
